On Saturday, 1 April, LIV Village Durban held an Impact Day, inviting their sponsors to make an IMPACT by helping with landscaping and gardening initiatives at their centre in KZN. Super Tyres extended an invitation to their social awareness partner, the Siripat Lions Rugby Club, and their players to join their team in support of the LIV Village Impact Day.
“We are proud of our relationship with the Siripat Lions Rugby Club, who are doing a fantastic job in terms of promoting the game as well as encouraging social cohesion among the youth of the Reservoir Hills and Clare Estate communities. We offer learnerships to some of the older Siripat Lions youth and have recently employed Charlie Kubheka as a tyre fitter and an asset to the Super Tyres Team,” said Dean Horn (Super Tyres managing director). Kubheka provided the Siripat Lions team members with a tour of the Super Tyres Smith Street branch before heading off to the LIV Village’s Impact Day.
Together they spent the morning of the LIV Village Impact Day gardening and assisting with the landscaping at the centre before playing rugby with the children of LIV Village Durban. Super Tyres also had the honour of donating a selection of garden tools, as well as some radio-controlled cars for the kids.
Super Tyres are delighted to play a small part in Liv Village and keep building on the relationship that we have developed over the years. This was another small step in the right direction. We look forward to the next step.
