Jaqueline Samuelson is the newest face in this series — fresh to the tyre industry in 2026 — but “new” doesn’t mean “unprepared.” She spent years on the other side of the counter, working with tyre suppliers from the client side. “Having worked with tyre suppliers for many years from the client side, stepping into branch management felt like a promising next move,” she says.
Ask her team what they’d say about her, and she doesn’t undersell it: “My positivity is contagious, and I am very special.” It’s a small line, but it says a lot about the energy she brings to the floor.
One of the things she’s found most encouraging since stepping into the role is how little of a reaction her gender actually gets these days. “Honestly, one of the most encouraging things lately is that there is no reaction at all,” she says. “More and more, customers walk into the store, ask for the manager, and simply expect a smile and professionalism — regardless of gender.” For someone brand new to the industry, that’s a telling sign of how far it’s already come.
What she loves most about the job is the pace. “What I love most is the daily fast pace — leading the team, and I am just grateful I have a job.” It’s a refreshingly grounded note in an industry that can move quickly and demand a lot.
Her advice to a young woman weighing up this industry is short and unambiguous: “Always educate yourself, never stop learning new things. Never give up or take no for an answer.”
