As we know, branding is all about a consistent look and we also know that black is the ‘power’ colour of the palette, right? To this end, we are giving all our branches a makeover, reducing the red emphasis and enhancing the black elements. Our rebranding exercise was due to kick off in March 2020, Covid however delayed this. Nevertheless, we managed to complete the first branch, in Pinetown, by late last year — feast your eyes on the transformation — with ’Maritzburg next in line, so watch this space for more colourful updates!
Super Tyres cares for our communities and we do as much as possible to uplift, inspire and contribute to their welfare. Last year was no exception, where we input into three worthwhile recipients, who were: The Brown School in Pinetown, KZN, that specialises in obtaining the best results for each child in its care. Super Tyres donated four vouchers for the annual Golf Day, while for the eMalangeni Development Association, a local NPO that develops and empowers people with disabilities, Super Tyres assisted in the ‘wonderful work they do in the community’, according to Dean Horn, Super Tyres Managing Director. And last, but not least, Super Tyres sponsored a variety of prizes to Coastal Horse Care Unit — a rehabilitation and rehoming centre for horses — for their show jumping fundraiser competition in December 2020.
Super Tyres more than cares, we DO!
On Wednesday, 27 January 2021 Super Tyres celebrated its Golden Jubilee! While we munched on our celebratory KFC meal — courtesy of management — we reminisced on how this multi-million Rand enterprise was established through the tenacity and fortitude of a husband-and-wife team who, with limited financial means, 50 years ago, started with a single branch in Leopald Street Durban. The company has since grown to a national footprint encompassing 8 Airport Depots, 9 retail branches across KwaZulu Natal and 11 Joint Ventures, stretching over five provinces. We sure have come a long way since those humble beginnings!
